Matsue Castle<\/strong>, completed in 1611 and one of Japan\u2019s few remaining original castles\u2014commonly known as the \u201cBlack Castle\u201d due to its dark wooden exterior\u2014is a must\u2011see in November, when autumn foliage paints the grounds in vibrant reds and golds. Climb to the top of the tenshu (keep) for panoramic views of the city and Lake Shinji. After touring the castle, enjoy a relaxing Horikawa River cruise, gliding past moats, willow-lined banks, and historic landmarks\u2014a lovely complement to the autumnal scenery.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Izumo Taisha<\/strong> is one of Japan\u2019s oldest and most important Shinto shrines, dedicated to \u014ckuninushi, the deity of relationships and good fortune. It is especially revered as a sacred site where all the Shinto gods are said to gather in October (by the lunar calendar). In November, the shrine\u2019s majestic architecture, massive shimenawa (sacred straw rope), and the serene cedar-lined paths are complemented by the crisp autumn air and vibrant foliage, making it an ideal time for a reflective visit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Shimane Winery (Tour B)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Shimane Winery<\/strong> is a local winery located near Izumo Taisha, known for its selection of Japanese wines made from locally grown grapes.
