Climb to the top of the tenshu (keep) for panoramic views of the city and Lake Shinji. It is especially revered as a sacred site where all the Shinto gods are said to gather in October (by the lunar calendar). In November, the shrine\u2019s majestic architecture, massive shimenawa (sacred straw rope), and the serene cedar-lined paths are complemented by the crisp autumn air and vibrant foliage, making it an ideal time for a reflective visit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Shimane Winery (Tour B)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Shimane Winery<\/strong> is a local winery located near Izumo Taisha, known for its selection of Japanese wines made from locally grown grapes. In addition to the gardens, the museum houses a remarkable collection of modern Japanese paintings, including works by Yokoyama Taikan. In November, visitors can enjoy the breathtaking autumn foliage that beautifully complements the meticulously maintained landscapes. The city also features the Mizuki Shigeru Road, a Street lined with bronze statues of yokai (Japanese supernatural creatures) from the artist\u2019s works, as well as the Mizuki Shigeru Museum.
